PHARMACIST – FULL TIME, PART TIME, AND FLOATER POSITIONS

First Healthcare Consultants is currently hiring full-time, part-time, and floater pharmacists for our pharmacies in Washington, DC.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prescription Management: Accurately fill prescriptions for customers and assist the Pharmacy Manager with ordering and managing pharmaceutical inventory to ensure compliance with safety regulations, production rates, and quality standards.
• Operational Setup: Set up pharmacy operations daily, conduct inventory checks, arrange Pharmacy Technicians to process prescriptions, obtain necessary supplies, and prepare the pharmacy for efficient operations.
• Customer Service & Communication: Greet, assist, and advise customers, fulfill prescription requests, answer telephones, respond to emails and voicemails, communicate with doctors for refills, and liaise with insurance and claims personnel.
• Inventory & Product Management: Unpack and stock shelves, rotate inventory, manage out-of-date products, and record salvage and shrink details in the inventory system. Enter product information into the computer system, use a bar code scanner for accuracy, and generate necessary reports.
• Store Presentation & Display: Build product displays, set up seasonal decorations, and ensure that the pharmacy area and products are attractively presented.
• End-of-Shift Procedures: At the end of each shift, clean and secure the pharmacy, set alarms, turn in cash drawers, and complete necessary paperwork.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
• Background in retail pharmacy is required.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to travel to multiple locations within the designated area.
• Knowledge of MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) regarding relevant materials.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English, with a strong understanding of safety regulations.
• Ability to use, or learn to use, required tools and equipment.
• Adherence to all safety protocols.
• Must meet company performance standards.
• Participation in company orientation and training is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work assigned schedules, including required overtime.
